Our Aim

Welcome to Marfleet Primary School.

We are a GOOD School (Ofsted 2015).

But it’s not just Oftsed that think we are good. Our parents and children also love our school!

We are a little bit different in how we teach and how our children learn!

We have a fantastic staff who work relentlessly to make sure their lessons are fun and engaging for the children. Class sizes are small and all classes are taught by a fully qualified Teacher as well as a Teaching Assistant. To help parents we have a brilliant wellbeing worker who is on call to talk to parents and children at all times.

We are caring and nurturing. Our small numbers mean that we know all our children and their learning styles and interests. We adapt our teaching to make sure all children achieve. Children are engaged in immersive learning environments across the school. We have special break out learning areas called the Pods where children work in small groups. We have a lovely little library area for children to enjoy books in their own time. We also have our reading shed and learning lodge outside to make the most of our wonderful grounds. We believe in learning beyond the classroom and all classes have at least 3 trips or visitors in class each year. We use technology to enhance learning and currently have 1 iPad between every 2 children. We believe in getting your children ready for the Real World.

We listen. Parents tell us very clearly that they always feel listened to and their comments and views are always taken into account. We have a happy playground where parents and staff respect each other and support each other in all the work we do.

Please look around our website to explore the wonderful things we are doing. But also, please come and visit our School. We currently have places available in all year groups to take new children into the Marfleet Family.

And don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

Just some quotes from Ofsted:
Pupils have positive attitudes to work and their good behaviour allows lessons to move along without interruption.
The achievement of all groups of pupils has improved and the good progress they make is helping them to quickly catch up with work that was previously missed.
Good opportunities exist in the way subjects are taught. Pupils are given many opportunities to, for example, practice writing skills across a wide range of subjects or develop their mathematical skills in problem solving activities.
Leaders also provide a wide range of visits and residential trips for pupils to enjoy which complement a large number of clubs and after school activities. The school has a rich tradition of sports clubs.
